Spring 2025 UCISL Rec Soccer Season

Thank you for your interest in our SPRING recreational soccer season. We are so excited to have returning players back for another season and ready to meet new players!! Most commonly asked question is what day and time is the practice going to be.......we do not have an answer to this question as the day/time of the practice is determined by the volunteer coach. And we will not know who your child's coach is going to be until the beginning of MARCH when we are drafting teams. We ask that our volunteer coaches set a practice day and time that works for a majority of the team. We can say that it will be during the week from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at our fields on County Home Road (MSSA & HSSA practice at Mill Creek).

Parents will be contacted by their child's coach during the first two weeks in MARCH. Practices will start the week of MARCH 24TH. First game will be APRIL 12TH and the last game will be MAY 17TH (SIX week season with a game every Saturday).

HSSA & MSSA practice schedule and game schedule is TBD.

Please wait until mid-MARCH to contact us if you haven't heard from your child's coach. We will not take coach requests, friend requests nor do we know the day/time of the practice until the volunteer coach determines it which will be sometime in the first two weeks of MARCH.

For practices and games, your child will need:

-shin guards

-long socks covering the shin guards

-preferably soccer cleats (no baseball or football cleats allowed) or tennis shoes

-water bottle

-size 3 ball for birth year 2022-2018

-size 4 ball for birth year 2017-2011

-size 5 ball for MSSA & HSSA

Below are the tentative dates:

January 1, 2025 - registration opens

February 15, 2025 - late fee of $10 begin

February 28, 2025 - registration ends

March 21, 2025 - coaches meeting

Week of March 24th- practices can begin

April 12, 2025 - first game

April 12, 2025 to April 19, 2025 - picture week

May 17, 2025 - Last game (6 week season)

Union County Elite FC offers recreational soccer for those kids who have never played soccer before or just want to play soccer for fun without an emphasis on competition. Players can start at birth year 2022, and we offer recreational teams up to high school. SPRING practices will start mid MARCH. Games will start START OF APRIL and end mid MAY. Parent coached, small-sided, single gender teams are a hallmark of our program. We promote technical, tactical and character development for kids of all skill levels in a fun, family environment. Our registration fee continues to be affordable and is based on age level and level of play and includes membership in Ohio South, accident insurance, a uniform shirt, training for coaches and referees…and much, MUCH more!

Recreational teams from birth year 2022-2013 are formed based on birth year and gender. We do not take requests to be on a certain team or to be with a certain coach or player. All teams are coached by parent volunteers. Coaches will be allowed to schedule practices on a day that works best for them and the majority of the team. No experience is necessary to volunteer to coach. We offer training from Elite FC professional coaching staff. Practices can be held Mon to Fri starting 4:30 pm or after. Birth year 2022, 2021 & 2020 teams will have a 30 min practice once a week. Birth year 2019 teams will have a 45 minute practice once a week. Birth year 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015 teams will practice one hour once a week. Birth year 2013 & 2014 teams will practice for one hour once a week with an optional second practice, and these teams will travel to Delaware and Plain City for 2-3 games per season. All other games and practices are held at UCJRD which is located on County Home Road.

Games are played on Saturday mornings to afternoons (sometimes at 2:00 pm or later). Some Birth year 2013 & 2014 games will be on Saturday afternoons. Children are required to wear shin guards (under their socks) and tennis shoes or soccer cleats for practices and games. Players will be provided with matching shirts for game days. Shorts and socks can be any color.

Recreational Middle School teams will play each fall and spring in the MSSA program. Home games and practices are in Marysville at the soccer fields on Mill Creek by the High School. Away games are in the Central Columbus area, and they will play an end of season tournament. Teams are formed based on number of participants and coaches. Limited spots are available and teams are coached by parent volunteers. Teams practice two to three times a week. Games are scheduled by MSSA and vary during days of the week and weekends.

Recreational High School teams will play each fall and spring in the HSSA program. Home games and practices are in Marysville at the soccer fields on Mill Creek by the High School. Away games are in the Central Columbus area. Teams are formed based on number of participants and coaches. Limited spots are available and teams are coached by parent volunteers. Teams practice two to three times a week. Games are scheduled by HSSA and are held on Sunday afternoons.
