Kicking it up a Notch Educational Night Delivers Great Information
Elite FC and Memorial Hospital hosted an educational night on Feb. 18th at Memorial Hospital. The night started off with Glenna Bell, Memorial Hospital's Nutritionist discussing proper nutrition, pregame meals, post game meals, and fluid intake. Then Elite FC coach and Memorial Hospital Physical Therapist explained about soccer injuries and how to prevent them. Finally Gordon Henderson, the new director of coaching for Ohio South closed up the night. Gordon discussed player development and how to continue the growth of the players. His main point was that players play soccer because it is fun. We need to continue to support this as a club and parents. He said the two questions that parents should ask after a game to their player is did you have fun and why was it fun. Many thanks to our speakers for sharing great information with the players, parents, and coaches. We would also like to thank Memorial Hospital for helping set up the event and hosting the education night in the hospital's cafe.
